Discover How Nature Heals

Horticultural Therapy

Horticultural Therapy (HT) is said to have gotten its start with ancient Egypt physicians.  Gardens were used to heal both physical and mental illnesses.  One of the reasons Horticultural Therapy is regaining its popularity is because it can be used among different populations and within a variety of settings.  Horticultural Therapy played an important role during World I and II; those that were injured during combat used HT to improve both their mental and limb function.
